Your optimal wellness and comfort is key, and that can equate to laying on your back or on your side for various reasons-- be it for a recent surgery, chronic pain, pregnancy, dormant traumas or other inexplicable reasons. Either way, always let your therapist know your preferences/needs,
and you can be accommodated.
That is your call, but it is my experience that comforting presence whether with or without touch can be quite healing and regulating for the nervous system.
Aside from hands-on work, you may opt for no-touch services such as Reiki or Long Distance Reiki. These sessions address needs beyond the physical, working to balance and treat energetic, emotional, and mental concerns that affect your everyday life.
